While our piercing studios are currently closed to help stop the spread of the COVID-19 virus, our team has been hard at work. Whether we are curating online ear projects, or answering your piercing questions via email and DM, it's been a good time to connect one-on-one digitally with our clients, and plan for the future!
Just like we have been busy packing up your online orders and booking appointments for when we return, it's the perfect time for you to plan for your next piercing! Below we'll go over a few steps to take when looking for jewelry inspiration, piercing placements, also how to book an appointment for when we open our doors again!
Can We Map Out An Ear Curation For You?
Sometimes it can be tough to come up with an idea for a full look! We have recently started offering an online ear curation service where our clients send in a photo of their ear, and our staff design a complete look using jewelry we stock in our studio! This enables us to give you guidance based on your personal anatomy, taste, and budget, all without leaving your couch! Click here to sign up for an online ear curation appointment.
What Style of Jewelry is For You?
Personal style is exactly that, personal. And your jewelry should reflect that! On our online store, we offer a wide variety of metals, gems, designs, and textures when it comes to body jewelry. When shopping for new body jewelry it's important to keep your lifestyle in mind as well! For example, if you prefer a bit more glamour, maybe genuine diamonds and 14k gold is more your style. For those who prefer a more minimalist look, perhaps gold balls, gold bars, and seam rings are your best bet!
Check out our Instagram page, and “shop” tab on our website for some inspiration in terms of jewelry.
What Type of Piercing is Perfect For You?
Piercing placement is another essential part of the planning process. Deciding where you want your new piercing to be ahead of time makes things more comfortable for both you and your piercer! Do you have existing piercings that the piercer may need to know about? Do you have the right anatomy to support the piercing you have in mind? These are all things you will need to consider.
During times when you are unable to meet with your piercer in person - like during the current time of social distancing - a photo of the area on your body you want to pierce will be a very helpful visual for your piercer! Another thing to consider when thinking about placement is visibility. Do you want to be able to see your piercing or have others see it regularly?
Browse Social Media for Ideas
Now that you know the style of tattoo and placement of your tattoo, it's time to start looking for ideas. The Pierced Instagram and Pinterest pages are great places to begin your hunt. Both will expose you to a wide selection of jewelry and placement options. You can also check out a few of our piercers pages that have additional pictures for inspiration!
Contact Us To Book Your Appointment
Just because our studios are currently closed doesn't mean we don't want to hear your new piercing ideas! Our staff are still answering emails and booking in clients from June 1 onwards. Use the form on our website to tell us your piercing idea, and we can get the process started. We look forward to working with you as soon as we can!
Do You Have The Required Aftercare Products?
It's never too early to get prepared and educated about the proper piercing aftercare techniques. Our online store offers all of the same piercing aftercare products that we sell in our physical locations. While you are waiting for your appointment, it is a great idea and time to make sure you have everything ready for when you get home. Our aftercare products are shipped the next business day. Some like PurKlenz can even be used as an every day antimicrobial soap for your hands or any area of your body that may come in contact with the outside world.
