One of the most commonly asked questions we get in our studio is, “Why don’t you use piercing guns?”. Fair question and we are glad that our clients are asking questions like this and putting thought into their body modifications and how piercing professionals will do them.
The short answer to this question is simply that the majority of piercing guns are not safe. This can be due to the cleanliness of the gun itself, the blunt force trauma associated with it, and the jewelry that is used when getting pierced with a gun.
Take a look at this infographic below where we breakdown what the risks actually are:
At Pierced all of our piercers have undergone an intensive apprenticeship program where they learn about human anatomy, safe piercings practices, sterilization, and professional bedside manner.
We aim to offer an extremely sterile, safe, and comfortable environment. All procedures take place in our private piercing room within our studio, for the comfort and safety of our clients.
We only pierce with one-time use needles and tools. Everything used to pierce one client has never been used on another client, and never will be. We also sterilized all your jewelry upon your arrival at our studio.
If you’re interested in booking a piercing appointment, please give your desired location a call, and we will be happy to help you!
